The Fine Line Between Money And Responsibility As An Affiliate Marketer

Wow, thanks for all the comments you've sent me regarding the previous email on "The Underachiever Mastery System"...

Here are just a few of them:

I just read your opinions and advice regarding the merits of purchasing Frank Kern's Underachiever program and I have to commend you for being so honest and truly helpful to your readers. Amidst a sea of email promoting Frank and Ed's pricey course you alone put your readers' best interests ahead of your own. In my mind you have joined the ranks of such luminaries as Phil Wiley, of Minisites fame. Phil is one classy guy, the sort that are so rare. Thanks Ewen.

Hi Ewen, just a note to say thank you for your email. I must have received over 50 emails promoting "The Underachiever Mastery System", all them hyped to the max. It's nice to know that there is at least one marketer out there that advises a common sense approach when it comes to spending one's hard earned money. Best regards,

Ewen, thank you for a very refreshing take on the "UA madness". I have indeed been inundated with pleading emails from a number of marketers, all begging me to buy the course through their link, with "X, Y,and Z" bonuses thrown in. So it was a pleasure to read your note with its sensible remarks on the latest frenzy. Much appreciated, and I applaud your stand of not pushing something you haven't seen. Good for you!

Beautifully written and so on the money. I'm sure you've elevated yourself in the eyes of your subscribers, by telling the real truth.

Dear Ewen, Very well written and informative letter! I really appreciate and respect your honesty here, and the fact that you put your integrity above jumping on the affiliate bandwagon, for as you said "a few thousand bucks". You can guarantee after reading that letter that I will remain a loyal subscriber. Too many newsletters these days are based upon pushing affiliate links, and have no 'meat' to them, much less valuable information. Once again, I applaud you for this one!
- Thanks, Cecilia Yardley

Hi Ewen, Shame on you, Not that long back you promoted your book through every afilliate available. The guys upfront promo is superior to any I've seen, The promo alone was worth a price. Not sure that you've done yourself any favours. Regards
- Cal (Note: I've already replied to Cal explaining my position :o)

And many more...

Well, as predicted my own inbox has been flooded with hundreds of 'ads' promoting it, as yours will be I'm sure. And with commissions going at $750 per pop it's easy to understand why. My 2 cents about Frank's system is close to $7,500 in 'opportunity cost' as I'm pretty confident of moving at least 10 copies of the course with a little work and creativity...but there's a fine line between...

Money and responsibility as an affiliate marketer.

The money's more than good and will feed my family for awhile, but as an affiliate, sometimes other factors have to be considered, ABOVE the money.

If I did get a chance to see and review the package in time, and if it turns out to be a truly great course, I'd no doubt have promoted it too. Part of an affiliate's real job is to review and scan products before endorsing them and in this instance, I'm just doing what's required. It's what you as an affiliate should do too.

Trust and credibility is a great responsibility earned over time. My subscribers trust me and it's my responsibility to protect that trust in their best interest. Keep this in mind when you're marketing to your own lists.

Now before anyone comes banging and flaming, I've got to mention again that I've got absolutely nothing against Frank, his product or anyone promoting it. In fact I'm positive it'll be a great package and will do wonders for those who uses the information and teachings in it.

Now, to answer some of the other questions on the part of my email which states:

"However, there ARE alternatives to the Underachiever system and they all reside in basic information marketing tactics in other niche markets..."

Here's just *one* of those alternatives...

It's something that contains the same KEY principles and teachings of the Underachiever system albeit without the audios and videos add-ons, and this cost a lot less at below $100. It's not a replacement but a darn close one and good alternative I'd say:

Real People Making Real Income (link deleted, please refer to explanation in my new post above)

If you look carefully, some of the sites created using this very system ARE underachievers in nature, though the teachings you learn here will arm you with more knowledge than you need to make it in the information marketing world. The author also thanked Ed Dale for his input, says a lot?

Stay tuned for more, much more...

The "Midas Touch" is Yours!
